Yamaha Boat cover

BEWARE this Yamaha OEM cover. This is the second cover I have purchased. The first I purchased with my boat in 2006 and it was a great cover until I tore it accidentally. I had over 7 tows with an average distance of 500 round trip per tow with the cover on and no problems. I purchased my new OEM cover in October of 2009 and had two tows with it. This last tow it developed two holes in the cover. One over each of the rubber bumpers on the walk through windshield. I contacted Yamaha to explain this material failure and they defered me to Parker Yamaha who contacted Yamaha also and was told by Yamaha this cover has a one year warranty on it and to contact the manufacturer Commercial Sewing to see if they can help. I am currently waiting for a reply from Commercial Sewing to see if they will warranty this cover or repaid the two holes and the other weakened areas I have noticed. There are some after market fitted morring/towing covers with a 5 year warranty out there for half the price. If I don't get resoultion I will definately pick up one of those for my next cover.
